EUREKA. ©Carlos de la Parra. Spanish + English version; clic down to read.

ENGLISH VERSION.

While many in the suit manufacturing industry began closing down their operations ,there was one man named Paco Araiza who would not give in to defeat ever, no matter what, and he stood up to the plate ignoring all the moaning and whining about the national economy crisis, and other excuses for defeat.
So he gathered every tailor and clothier that had gone down to the canvas and placed them under contract for a project he would build that would bring things around for everyone.
His battle plan consisted in breaking the Guinness record for largest amount of people dressed in a dark blue suit of the exact same style, cut and fabric; joined by every possible additional service or connection one could link to this peculiar reunion.
The launching of the project was held at different borrowed large spaces, and Paco made sure to attract media coverage to broadcast his message of recruitment of participants coming from both local and outside towns. It caught on like fire since there was no one else doing anything about the depressive state of the widespread unemployment situation.
Three years later. Finally the triumphant parade took place one hundred thousand individuals marched cheered by the crowds wearing the identical blue suits and matching ties, with the calculated side benefits to the town's hotels, barbers and stylists ( since they all sported the same haircut ), and all the food places that catered to locals and visitors. In time it became a tradition to have their suits made in this village, people would travel from far away to do that. He also remembered alll the red tape he had to go through to overcome the local authorities demands for permits to be able to accomplish what should have been their job. Specially the people who are supposed to be creative like the one's running councils of the arts, who rarely bother to promote anything that attracts progress.
Perhaps this entire crisis might never had occured if everyone in charge had been working to benefit their citizens instead of the banks and the finantial power that brought about all the caos.
